Decentral Nature Study
2022
As a result of my research on resurfaced nature in the digital world, I have created a documentary book, Decentral Nature Study. Decentral Nature Study is a book that gives a glimpse of the restricted sense to experience nature while paying attention to the natural objects regarded as a backdrop of the virtual land. The plants are extracted from their virtual habitat through screenshots of the landscape. A series of simple yet laborious processes involved walking (the avatar performed walking on my behalf), taking a picture(screenshot), and analysing (outlined and colour swatch with Adobe Photoshop).
